larger image	No. 1616 speed control is a poppet type check valve which opens to permit free flow of compressed air in one direction. Flow in the opposite directions closes the check valve and air is "metered" through the adjustable opening. A fine thread metering screw provides easy adjustment. Highly recommended as a means of slowing down the closing stroke of air operated valves to prevent water-hammer and slamming or hydraulic shock.
